Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter. Ours was nice. Ethan colored his first Easter eggs. That was an experience. I have to tell myself these are learning experiences, we will do better next year. It started out well...

Then the eggs started getting smashed...
Mommy and Ethan often have differing opinions on when things need to end...

Visit from the Pattersons'

This weekend Diana, Chris, Chloe and Gavin came for a visit. It was great to have them hear for a weekend and actually have time to chat and catchup. The kids had a great time playing and visiting the Cincinnati museums. Chloe was thrilled to have pictures to take back to school with her to show what she had done on spring break.

Trying To Get Caught Up

If I only had the energy Ethan does. He is go, go, go these days. Walking and talking like a mad man. Dave's mom has been taking him to storytime at the library the last couple of weeks. He and I have also started taking a Parent/Child swim class. I think he is enjoying both.

Here are some pictures from Christmas - although we are way past Christmas now and looking forward to spring.

Eventful Weekend

Ethan had his first experience with painting. No worries... it was food coloring. What his mommy didn't think about was the food coloring should be diluted to avoid staining. This was before he rubbed his eyes. He looked like a smurf by the time he was done. The other thing his mommy didn't think about was the next day Ethan was going to see Santa at the mall...
Luckily after a long bath most of the blue was gone. Although he looked very handsome for his first visit with the famous "Ho, Ho". He wasn't very excited to sit on his lap. At least he didn't scream like the kid behind him.

Where has the time gone??

Ethan's birthday is quickly approaching. That leaves me thinking where did the year go? Boy time has flown and things have changed. He is getting big and learning new things everyday. He is saying more than a dozen words and is starting to express his opinion.
He is really close to walking. He will occassionally take a step or two without holding on.

Dinner time is interesting these days. Feeding himself and always making a mess. He is a pretty good eater mostly. Veggies aren't his favorite but he does like peas.
Made another trip to the zoo as part of a work event. Ethan enjoyed the elephants and the giraffes the best.
We also took a trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but we have no pictures from the trip. We went to the aquarium and I couldn't figure out how to turn off the flash so the pictures didn't turn out well. But they have an underwater tunnel, which is very cool. Ethan liked watching the sharks swim over us.
He has dropped down to one nap most days, which of course falls around lunch time...
Happy Halloween from our little monkey!!! Hope everyone got lots of candy.
